There are five common ways custom flag fabric is printed:
- Type A - 1-layer, single-sided print: the back is a faded mirror image at 80-90% of the front color. No longer offered.
- Type B - 1-layer, double-sided print: the back is a mirror image with the same bright color. Used for our single-sided custom flags.
- Type C - 3-layer, double-sided print: a black-out middle layer; the back reads correctly. No longer offered - the three thinner layers are more prone to damage.
- Type D - 2-layer with blockout coating: each layer carries a blockout coating; the back reads correctly. Used for teardrop, feather and block banners.
- Type E - 1-layer with blockout core: a black-out core laminated inside a single layer; the back reads correctly. Used for double-sided custom flags and double-sided fabric banners.
